The best ways to spend your weekend in Mumbai on February 1 and 2, 2020

If you’re from Mumbai or visiting the city this weekend, treat yourself to the unique experience of watching a play in an open theatre while enjoying food offerings, try a range of undiscovered F&B brands at India’s only crowdfunded music festival or have yourself a weekend getaway at a Chikoo festival! 

Whether you like wine, music, theatre, food, or all, the first weekend of February promises to be lit!

Popcorn time

Over the weekend, the Open Air Plaza inside the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) will be abuzz with kiosks offering fare from foodie brands such as Neel ki Biryani, Dakshin Rasoi and the Indigo Burger Project. Tuck into delectable eats from these restaurants while you watch The Mirror Crack’d, a lauded and gripping production based on a novel by celebrated author, Agatha Christie. 

When: January 30 to February 2, 2020 | 4:00 pm onwards

Where’s the party tonight?

If you love music and food, head out to Control Alt Delete, India’s first crowdfunded music festival, which is now in its 12th edition. Listen to local acts from Mumbai and independent artistes from across India while you sip on some heady drinks and tuck into a range of eats from the food stalls. 

When: February 1 and 2, 2020 | 2:30 pm to 10:00 pm

Where: Roaring Farms, Pathare Wadi, Malwani Village, Malad, West. 

Cost: Pay as you like 

Sea you, honey


What better way to make most of the weekend than to pig out? Drop by for CinCin’s seafood menu, Si! Si! Seafood, which is inspired by the traditional Feast of the Seven Fish(es). The spread offers delectable dishes like a range of pastas, risottos and prawn bisque!

Tongue in chikoo

Escape the din of Mumbai city and spend your weekend in the picturesque beach town of Bordi, where the annual Chikoo Festival will be taking place. The rural festival will be home to more than 250 stalls and has been woven with a bunch of entertaining activities.
