For some more healthy options, here’s chef Brar’s unique twist to the usual aloo tikki. Sweet potatoes (boiled and mashed), kasundi (mustard), all-purpose flour, and a starfruit – that’s all you need to prepare this recipe at home. Instead of frying the tikkis, he poaches them in boiling water and then tosses it in some oil with spring onions, garlic, and cottage cheese.

Grilled Root Vegetables

Another guilt-free snack recipe, this one comes from chef Pankaj Bhadouria’s kitchen. All you need to do is grill some sweet potatoes, potatoes, and beetroots with some crushed black pepper, paprika, dried thyme, and olive oil.

Sweet Potato & Lentil Soup

Say hello to this wholesome dinner option. Chef Vicky Ratnani brings us a sweet potato and lentil soup. He spices it up with some bay leaves, paprika powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and crushed black pepper.

Roasted Sweet Potato Tart

Think roasted sweet potatoes with a drizzle of silky toffee over it – delicious, right? That’s exactly what this recipe is all about. What’s more interesting is the fact that chef Brar uses honey instead of the regular sugar to sweeten this dish. This is perfect for those days when you want to dig into something sweet without cheating on your diet.
