Vegan Chocolate Cake Recipe
1 ½ cup wheat flour
½ cup cocoa powder
¼ cup caster sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 ½ cup coconut milk
½ cup canola oil/vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
½ cup boiling water
Preheat the oven at 350ºF/180ºC. Grease and flour the cake pan.
Mix all the wet ingredients except the boiling water and dry ingredients in two different bowls. Start pouring the wet mix into the dry mix. Simultaneously, beat the batter to avoid the formation of lumps. In the end, slowly add boiling water to the batter and mix thoroughly.
Pour it into the pan. Place in oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the pan cool for few minutes. Take a knife and run it along the edges of the pan.
