Just like many other Indians, Bollywood celebrities too celebrated Diwali in full swing. As a result of which, Instagram was bombarded with photos and how! While some took to the social media platform to wish their fans, others, documented all the fun they had. The festive week started off with A-listers party hopping and ended with them heading home to spend quality time with their family and loved ones on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. Amitabh Bachchan

Just like every year, Sr Bachchan’s Diwali was #familywali. The legendary actor and his wife Jaya Bachchan spent the eve of the festival of lights by performing Laxmi puja with son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya.

The Diwali puja was followed by the entire Bachchan family coming together to light some sparklers. 

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna

Bollywood’s Mr and Mrs Khiladi performed puja at his office with the entire team. Sharing a group picture from the puja, Kumar wrote, “The mood is festive and happy, post the Diwali puja in the office today. Here’s wishing you all a safe and very Happy Diwali from us.”

Sonali Bendre

Trust ‘90s diva Sonali Bendre to melt your hearts with her social media posts. Bendre, who is undergoing cancer treatment in New York, rang in the festival of lights with her husband Goldie Behl and son Ranvir. Her caption for the post read: “Diwali in New York happens much later than in Mumbai… Hence the late wish! It was quite an unconventional one… We didn’t have Indian clothes, we had a small puja… But it was all heart. Happy Diwali everyone! May this year bring you good health, wealth and prosperity… Hope you celebrated this festival with your family and friends, and hope you cherish every moment of happiness with them!” Just look at these pictures!

Social media’s favourite Virushka won the internet with an elegant portrait. It featured the two dressed in traditional attire, posing together against the backdrop of their Diwali-ready home in Mumbai .

Before she headed to her favourite KJo’s Diwali bash, Raazi actress Alia Bhatt spread some light and warmth by collaborating with a team of volunteers to feed over 500 dogs across seven cities. #PoochOverPataka was her mantra for a happy Diwali!
