Kangana Ranaut, who is awaiting the trailer release of her next Bollywood movie Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, spent the day with her sister Rangoli Chandel and nephew Prithviraj. Chandel shared a picture of Ranaut posing with Prithviraj, in front of Lord Ganesha.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra
Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra celebrated the first day of Ganeshotsav with their loved ones. The actress took to social media to share an adorable family photo and wish her fans and followers. We can’t get over how cute their son Viaan looks in the picture, happily greeting his mommy’s Instafam.
Karan Wahi designed the Ganpati idol on his own this year. The actor shared a picture of his creation on Instagram and wrote: “Ganpati Bappa Morya Happy Ganesh Chaturthi I have taken a step towards Green Ganesha, Clean Ganesha. Bolo Ganpati Bappa Morya. Celebrating one of my most favourite festival with Ganpati Bappa's idol that I designed myself."
Stree actress, Shraddha Kapoor, celebrated the festival with her family. She shared a picture on Instagram that featured her standing in front of a mini-pandal at her grandparents’ home.
Madhuri Dixit Nene
Bollywood’s very own Dhak Dhak girl, Madhuri Dixit, made the most of the occasion by talking about why Ganesh Chaturthi is close to her heart. She wrote: “Modaks, family gatherings, dance, music... Everything about #GaneshChaturthi makes me happy 🙂🎊 I wish this festive season brings you all countless blessings! #GanpatiBappaMorya.”
Just like BFF Karan Wahi, TV actor Rithvik Dhanjani too decided to go green this Ganeshotsav. The Pavitra Rishta actor sculpted his own Ganesha idol. According to Dhanjani, he was inspired by fellow actor Raqesh Bapat, who has been doing so for the past four years.

Salman Khan and his Khandaan
The sister of Bollywood’s Bhai, Arpita Khan and her husband Aayush Sharma welcomed Lord Ganesha in their house. So, the entire Khan family—from Salim Khan to Salman Khan and Atul Agnihotri—made it a point to visit Sharmas’ home to seek the blessings of the elephant-headed god. Agnihotri shared a couple of pictures of the idol and a short video of the Khan family performing aarti.
Sriti Jha gave her fans a glimpse of the Ganpati idol she brought home and captioned the picture: “Ganpati Bappa Morya!”
