How Bollywood Celebrated Rakhi

Here’s how B-Town celebrated the beautiful bond between a brother and sister.

Annabelle D’Costa

Celebrating the bond between siblings, Rakshabandhan is that time of the year when brothers and sisters put aside all their differences and hug it out. And Bollywood is no different. Many of them took to social media to share their Rakhi moments, and here are some glimpses:

Arjun Kapoor

The Kapoor khandaan witnessed a full house on Rakhi, as everyone from Janhvi and Khushi, Arjun and Anshula to Harshvardhan and Sanjay Kapoor along with his kids Shanaya and Jahaan came together to celebrate.

Arjun also shared a photo with sister Anshula:

Kangana Ranaut

The ‘Queen’ of Bollywood celebrated Rakhi with brother Ajay Dhama, and here’s picture-proof of the bond they share.

Suhana and AbRam Khan

Shah Rukh Khan shared an adorable photo of his youngest, AbRam, with big sister Suhana. But it was SRK’s message that won our heart. “Raakhi done…with a promise in the family to respect all women. Respect for women will make u inspired, make u tender hearted & morally strong. Happy Raakhi to all ye bros out there…& respect to all sisters.”

Arpita Khan Sharma

Arpita shared a collage of pictures with brothers Arbaaz and Sohail Khan. While Salman Khan couldn’t make it on the special day, she posted a heartfelt message on Instagram:

Brother Salman Khan was missed and this picture captioned “Happy Rakhi to the bestest brother in the whole wide world. We missed you today 😘 love you @beingsalmankhan,” is proof.

She also shared son Ahil’s picture with his elder sisters.

Soha and Saif Ali Khan Pataudi

The Pataudi’s came together to ring in Rakshabandhan celebrations and here are all the inside pictures:

It's one of my favourite festivals where the sister ties a sacred thread around the brother's wrist for protection, symbolic of the beautiful bond between siblings. I can't imagine life without having my brothers in my corner... Love you guys!"

Deepika Padukone

Who said Rakshabandhan was only about sisters tying rakhis to their brothers. Rebel that she is, Padukone showed us that one doesn’t need a brother when they have an equally talented sister.
