Is your kid a picky eater? Does he/she detest the taste of eggs? Well, if you are having a hard time including eggs in meal plans for your little one, here are some simple recipes to your rescue.

Though eggs are quintessential breakfast food, but they can easily be included in rest of the meals for your kids. With these simple hacks you can get your kids to savour and devour the nutrition and protein-packed eggs. 


Devilled Eggs

You can quickly turn boiled eggs into classic devilled eggs. Mumbai-based chef, Monaz Irani of Plate & Pint suggests cutting hard boiled eggs length-wise and scooping out the yolk, mashing together the yolk with cheese and cream, and piping it back into the egg whites. You will be amazed to see your kids gobble this delicious creation. It's healthy as well as yummy!

Breaded Eggs

Another quick and interesting snack that you can prepare with medium-boiled eggs is breaded eggs. Take two medium boiled eggs, peel them, roll them in flour, follow it up with an egg wash and then finally roll them in breadcrumbs. Shallow fry them until they turn golden and crisp and serve with a dip of your choice.

Bell Pepper Egg Rings

This is the most creative you can get with a couple of eggs and bell peppers. Cut thick slices of bell pepper, place them on a pan over medium heat after drizzling some oil on it.  Crack open an egg in each pepper ring. Allow it to fill out, season with salt and pepper. If you like them soft, cook over low heat and serve immediately.

Mumbai-based Grandmama's Cafe chef Amit Vaidya suggests preparing quick mini burritos instead of the gigantic ones for an evening snack. Boil eggs, chop and keep them aside. Grab a small corn tortilla, spread refried beans and top it with chopped egg, salsa and avocado slices. Roll it and serve. 


Boiled Egg and Soldiers

Put a smile on your child's face with this creative boiled egg and soldiers dish. To prepare this, soft boil your eggs to get a firm egg white and runny yolk. Then toast bread slices until they turn nice and crusty, spread a dollop of butter and slice them vertically to make long strips. Serve the soft-boiled egg in an egg cup seasoned with salt and pepper, alongside the toasted bread sticks. Dip the toasted bread sticks, the soldiers, in the runny yolk and eat.

Egg Custard

One of the simplest ways to make egg custard for your kid is to whisk in one cup of milk with an egg, a teaspoon of honey and a dash of vanilla in pan and place it on very low heat. Keep stirring continuously till the mixture thickens into a custard and coats the back of the spoon. Run your finger through the middle of this layer of custard, if it leaves a clean trail then your custard is ready. Serve immediately or refrigerate and have it later.
