This way, you will not have to queue at the bar, wade through a pool of lively people and keep adjusting for the perfect spot to view the match. Besides, nothing is better than witnessing 32 countries competing on their football prowess along with your bunch of friends from the comfort of your home. 

So, what are you waiting for? Plan an elaborate FIFA World Cup 2018 viewing party with colour-themed costumes, sports memorabilia, munchies and some festive cocktails. Instead of the usual beer this football season, mix it up to make a quick cocktail at your home and keep yourself and your gang of friends in high spirits. A good cocktail can set the mood of your party which is why we have compiled a list of some amazing recipes that you can try. Sit back and sip on these while you cheer for your favourite team. 


Currant and lychee martini slush

Ingredients:

Vodka: 45 millilitre 

Canned lychee: 3 pieces

Blackcurrant syrup: 20 millilitre 

Lemon juice: 15 millilitre 

Method:

Blend all the ingredients with ice to make a slush.

Top it with 60 millilitres of beer.

Serve in a margarita glass with a salted rim.


Drunk Pomegranate

Ingredients:

Pomegranate juice: 60 millilitre 

Apple cider: 20 millilitre

Ginger juice or ginger syrup: 15 millilitre 

Dark rum: 45 millilitre


Method:

Add all the ingredients in a shaker and give them a shake.

Fill a tall glass with crushed ice and add the shaken ingredients to this.

Top it up with beer.

Use pomegranate seeds as garnish.


Tropical Jungle


Ingredients: 

Peach puree/crush: 30 millilitre 

Bacardi: 45 millilitre 

Pineapple juice: 45 millilitre

Cherry and pineapple for garnish


Method:

Add all the ingredients in a shaker and give them a shake.

Put these in a beer mug filled with ice.

Slowly top this with beer.

Garnish with a cherry on pineapple.


Butterscotch Cider

Ingredients:

Butterscotch syrup: 30 millilitre 

Apple cider beer flat: 60 millilitre 

Captain Morgan: 20 millilitre 

Whipped sweet cream: 1 teaspoon 

Vanilla Powder for garnish


Method:

Add all the ingredients without cream in a shaker and shake with ice.

Pour in a coupe glass.

Put cream on top.

Garnish with vanilla powder.

Bud Coolant 

Ingredients:

Aperitif (Martini Bianco): 30 millilitre

Sauvignon Blanc White Wine: 120 millilitre

Beer: 330 millilitre

Green apple flavouring: 30 millilitre

Apple juice: 100 millilitre

Orange juice: 100 millilitre

Sugar syrup: 45 millilitre

Lime juice: 45 millilitre


Method:

Pour the aperitif, white wine, green apple flavouring, apple juice, orange juice, sugar syrup and lime juice on ice in a punch bowl.

Top up the concoction with a bottle of beer.

Garnish with lemon wedges.
