All About Tasting the Globe in a Glass at Sula Selections’ Roadshow

It brought together connoisseurs from the wine and spirit industry

The third edition of Sula Selections’ Globe in a Glass roadshow at Sofitel Mumbai BKC was an evening of glitz, glamour, and, of course, fine wines. Not only did wine and spirit enthusiasts get an opportunity to sip on the finest wines from France, Spain, Italy, New Zealand and Australia, but also mingled with the who’s who of the industry. Some of the best wines that Sula imports such as Castillo de Monseran, Hardy’s, Trapiche and Le Grand Noir were showstoppers at the event held on December 7, 2018.

A meet-and-greet plus tasting session kick started the evening. Wine and spirit makers, brand ambassadors, producers and other industry stalwarts helped the guests understand the product’s taste and flavour better. The drinks were accompanied by a variety of finger foods, carefully chosen to complement the spirits available to sample.

In attendance at the third edition of Globe in a Glass Roadshow were Georges Haushalter (MD, Cap Royal), Abhishek Parmeshwaran (Country Manager, Rémy Cointreau), Nikolay Y Agapov (Area Export Manager, Beluga), Bertacchini Maurizio (Export Manager, Bolla & Serristori) and Olivier Medigue (Export Manager, Bouchard Aîné & Fils). Following the tasting session, brands such as Rémy Cointreau and Beluga Noble Russian Vodka hosted interactive master classes. Rest of the evening was all about good food, live music performances and of course drinks! 

Apart from international wines and spirits, Sula also showcased their collection of domestic wines and some spirit brands from its subsidiary, Artisans Spirit Private Limited, such as Janus and Eclipse.

Sula Selections’ Globe in a Glass Roadshow was launched in 2016 and is an initiative by the import arm of Sula Vineyards to allow consumers to experience and explore the many liquor brands they work closely with. Another aim of the brand is to help wine enthusiasts keep up with new launches in the vertical.
