Time to sip on the flavourful infused water!

Like every year, by the end of the festive season, the increased numbers on your weighing scale will leave you frowning. And just when you catch yourself dreaming about those delectable kaju katlis lying in your fridge, you know it’s time for some cleansing.

A detox regime does not mean surviving only on insipid soups, khichri and steamed veggies. A more simple way to get your body shed toxins is to sip on infused water. Daily consumption of water infused with greens, herbs and aromatics will leave you refreshed, hydrated and add the flavour in your diet that you have been missing.

What is Infused Water?
Infused water is naturally flavoured water imparted by fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs. The fruits and veggies are sliced and soaked in water long enough for the water-soluble nutrients to be transferred making the water flavourful and nutrient rich.

Anything ranging from the humble and inexpensive lemon and cucumber to exotic blueberries and raspberries can be used to infuse the water. You can also add herbs such as celery, parsley and thyme for a stronger flavour. Since it requires minimum ingredients, it is very easy to prepare and quite affordable.
