5 Italian Places In Mumbai To Celebrate Valentine’s Day In 2017

Amore, who moved my cheese!

If you want love lessons, all we can say is do it the Italian way. Similarly, if you want to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your loved one, do it with an Italian meal, known for being comforting and fulfilling at the same time. Italians, who are known for their amorous way of life, indulge in romantic dinners, long drives, excursions etc as their way of celebration. Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and each of one of us wants to manifest that Italian avatar within us, what better than a good Italian meal to get the evening started. Here is my list of Italian places to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Mumbai.

Sassy Spoon, Nariman Point

This place is quaint yet filled with energy. It’s quirky yet classic and serves you more than Italian cuisine. The Bandana-clad Chef Irfan Pabaney ensures the cuisine is nouvelle and inspired from everywhere all at once. May it be the use of Goan Poi, Maharashtrian Thecha or the sambal sauce, there in pink all around at Sassy Spoon. In short, there is love in the air.

Botticino, BKC Bandra

Chef Ashish Bhasin, the head Chef at the Trident, is also at the helm of Botticino’s operations. With the décor done in Botticino stone this contemporary space offers authentic Italian fare with subtle use of modern technique and presentation. A perfect place for a couple to dwell in their companionship and celebrate togetherness yet again!

Pizza Express, Multiple locations

A UK-based pizza chain that serves consistently good food across their restaurants in Mumbai. I love to go there for their thin crust pizzas enjoyed with a glass of Sangiovese. This place isn’t for candle lit expectations but more suited to day light adventures. Puppy lovers, you don’t need very deep pockets for this one.

Le Cirque Signature, Sahar, Andheri

Headed by Chef Lorenzo Severini, this legendary New York-based chain’s outfit at the Leela Mumbai is the epitome of luxury dining in the city. Delectable food, a fine wine selection, crystal stemware and unobtrusive service in a classical French setting makes it a destination for many industrialists and celebrity A-listers. The quaint settings of the Le Cirque with ballads playing in the background give you that privacy and environment to keep the fire burning.

Prego, Goregaon

Let the singing Chef Antonello takes you on an intimate gourmet journey at the Westin Garden City, Mumbai. From wood-fired pizzas to homemade pastas to crafted cocktails, Prego is all set to entice you with a curated set meal this Valentine. Allow the reds and the blues at Prego to let out the colourful lover within you show up for a whimsical Valentine evening!
