19 Celebrities Who’ve Got Their Fitness Game on Point

Their only motto: Work hard or go home!

Annabelle D’Costa

If you're anything like us (despite being 6 months past our New Year's resolution to get back in shape) there is hope! We did some digging to compile a list of all the sweaty moments that deserve a little admiration (read motivation) — including some impressive celebrity workouts. They’ll make you spring back on the mat, we promise.

Ranveer Singh

Singh underwent one of the most impressive celebrity transformations we’ve ever seen, transforming his bulky Alauddin Khilji persona from Padmaavat to his lanky role in Gully Boy. His intense training regimen, which included a mix of heavy weight lifting and weight training, was designed by personal trainer Mustafa Ahmed. All of that hard work in the gym combined with a no-sugar diet got him into shape, so it’s no surprise he makes it to our No.1 spot.

Here’s a picture of Singh showing off the workout hustle that he’s known for

Bhumi Pednekar

Over the past few years, Pednekar has gone through an incredible body transformation. Her debut movie, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, saw her playing the role of an overweight newly-wed bride. She gained weight for the film, and then, from a whopping 89 kg, she went to 57 kg in just about six months without even going on a fad diet! She has since managed to stay healthy and fit, thereby encouraging us to follow in her slender footsteps. If you too want to #LoseItLikeBhumi, make sure to follow her on Instagram where the celeb motivates her followers in their own wellness pursuits by sharing tips and her own before-after photos to highlight her transformation.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

This doting mom and actor is living proof that working on your body really pays off. Post pregnancy, she’s been killing it with celeb trainer Yasmin Karachiwala to maintain that fit body, with an intense mix of cardio, lunges, weight training and yoga. Lest anyone forget that the once size-zero Kapoor Khan can literally box the hell out of another human, here's a reminder.

Salman Khan

Salman Khan might be pushing 50, but his fierce physique is still one of the most-envied in Bollywood. Though he isn’t hugely vocal about his workout routine, we've seen enough of those ab shots to know that this star pushes himself. Pulling off those legendary muscles is no joke, and based on the actor’s insane bodybuilding training plan, neither are the workouts he uses to maintain them. These workouts are absolutely brutal, but if you want to look anything like Tiger, you might as well start with basic cycling!

Katrina Kaif

Teeter around in heels she might, but Katrina Kaif is a warrior in the workout department. Her fitness prowess is no secret – from resistance band training to yoga, pilates, squats, lunges and push-ups, the Bharat actress leaves no regime untouched. Besides, as someone who insists on performing her own stunts, she totally comes off as a fitness buff. Stop it, Kat. We’re already sweating buckets looking at you go full beast mode!

Jacqueline Fernandez

Known for her girl-next-door looks, the Sri Lankan actor has a kickass workout routine packed with cardio exercises, pole and stretching exercises and dance. Normalising the pole, an activity which was earlier reserved for hidden clubs, she is making the most of the great isometric and cardiovascular exercise wrapped into one. Hmmm, we wonder if she occasionally cheats at Pali Thai, her own killer Mumbai restaurant.

Tiger Shroff

If you're trying to reclaim the glory days of the Greek, or just want to look up to a guy whose entire life is centred around fun and fitness, Shroff is your man. Well, that shredded body didn’t come easy to him. He throws lots into the mix to maintain that ripped and chiselled torso – intense dance sessions, high-intensity workout sessions and even martial arts. For Shroff, fitness isn’t merely about breaking a sweat at the gym, but a way of life!

Malaika Arora

Can we take a moment to talk about how Malaika has been aging like fine wine? Mom to a teen, she’s lately been soaking up a lot of the sun showing off her ever-ready bikini body. How does she manage keeping those abs tight? When you're a squad queen, that applies to everything – including workouts. Arora is often papped with fitness buddies, Kareena Kapoor-Khan and Amrita Arora—heading out of gyms—that goes some way to explain all of their fierce bodies. When she’s working out at the gym, she turns to yoga.

Athiya Shetty

Shetty is a self-proclaimed foodie and believes in eating everything in moderation. In fact, she isn’t even afraid to gorge on a dessert or chow down a pizza. To make up for her big appetite, she has a killer fitness game – weight training five times a week, a balanced diet, hitting the bed early and rising early! All this helps her maintain a long, lean silhouette, as does a diet heavy on veggies and lean protein, not to mention daily doses of coconut water.

Kangana Ranaut

The stylish diva also has a love for fitness, wellness and health. Despite having to gain around 10 kg for her role in Panga, she managed shedding about half of it in just 10 days’ time. Working out twice a week for 10-11 hours every day (yea you read right!) with her trainer, Yogesh Bhateja clearly did the trick because damn, we couldn’t take our eyes off her Cannes red carpet looks. If her amazing abs and legs aren’t inspiration enough, knowing that she’s had to put in hours and hours of hard work to achieve them will surely help you get off that couch RN!

Anil Kapoor

Anil Kapoor must have certainly sipped from the fountain of youth  because at 62 his workout routine can put any 20-year old to shame. Although he has a busy schedule, he always manages to look fit as a fiddle. How, you ask? Well, he walks or jogs everywhere! When not jogging, he does some cardio, chair squats, crunches, free weights and even push-ups while at the gym. He also likes to take his workouts outdoor by occasionally taking his cycle out for a long ride. We can totally dig it

Deepika Padukone
She maintains that amazing bod by squeezing workouts into her busy schedule, mixing up everything from spinning to hot yoga to super-intense dance cardio routines. All that aside, the star has also been quite vocal on an often ignored aspect – mental health. Apart from sharing pictures of her envious bod backed with power-packed workouts, the actor also makes it a point to share wellness tips with her followers.

Alia Bhatt

Her healthy, toned and strong body is proof that she didn’t get that way eating burgers and fries. If you happen to follow Bhatt on Instagram you probably know her secret – pilates, cardio and functional training. In addition to killing it at the gym, the actor makes sure to get her daily dose of greens and to sip on protein shakes! Bhatt knows that staying committed to a fitness routine is crucial to see results.

Akshay Kumar

No shortcuts to exercise, no deprivation in diet. A longtime fan of the martial arts, especially Taekwondo and Muay Thai, Kumar follows a disciplined lifestyle that sees a mix of functional training, cycling and a balanced diet. In order to maintain that bulge in his biceps and those washboard abs, he wraps up with an early dinner and hits the bed by 9 pm. Sounds good to us.

Sonakshi Sinha

Fitness is all about being healthy and not being thin. That’s what Sinha’s fitness journey is all about! You’re probably living under a rock if you’ve not known that the actor had shed some extra 30 kgs before marking her debut Dabangg. With hard work and sweat, and not to forget those intense cardio sessions, pilates sessions and functional training -- she’s managed to give us some serious fitness goals!

Kriti Sanon

The Lukka Chuppi actress has legs for days. Her tall slim physique is sought after by virtually everyone, but in reality that fit body demands a disciplined workout regimen. A regular at the gym all year round, Sanon occasionally gives us insights into her training regime via her IG. When she’s not hitting the gym or studio for workout sessions with Yasmin Karachiwala, she dances her way to a fit and healthy life.

Sonam Kapoor

Love her or hate her, Kapoor’s toned body is goddamn impressive. Often body-shamed and trolled for being flat-chested, Kapoor doesn’t like to adhere to the unrealistic beauty norms and instead believes in setting keeping it “real”. A quick scroll through Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja’s Instagram will show you tons of jet-set travels, scenic ocean views, and glamorous snaps. What you'll also see is a girl who knows her workouts. As someone who likes to dabble into all things fitness, Kapoor switches between kathak, yoga, swimming pilates, cardio and even some strength training exercises. All of this coupled with some yummy ghar ka khana which includes dal-chawal, is what keeps the young fashionista going.

Arjun Kapoor

When it comes to staying in shape, Kapoor is not one who shouts about it online. But from the pictures that he shares, it’s easy to see that he looks after himself and manages to hit the gym occasionally. After a three-year-long battle with obesity, the star has finally managed to emerge victorious making us believe that nothing is impossible. Encouraging his 9.9 million followers to follow in his footsteps, he even took to IG to share a moving post about his fitness journey.

Hrithik Roshan

From his Kaho Na Pyaar Hai days to Kaabil, Roshan has always been hailed as the Greek God of Bollywood and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t. Recently, Roshan had to gain weight to play the role of mathematician Anand Kumar for Super 30 and now that the film is in its post-production stage, the actor has got back on the fitness track. Making us skip a heartbeat, one Instagram post at a time, the actor has taken to social media to document his fitness journey. A strict diet plan and a disciplined fitness routine comprising of weight training, cardio and CrossFit sessions are what help the star post those shirtless selfies with confidence.
