Fatherhood is hard, even for some of the world’s most
accomplished and successful men. Ask Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit and
husband to one of the world’s most accomplished tennis star, Serena Williams. Currently, out on a mission to make paid paternity leave a dream come true, this
high-profile dad had made fatherhood an important part of his public image ever
since the birth of his daughter Olympia.
Ohanian is trying to change the existing gender norms especially when it comes to child rearing. As someone who personally benefited from staying at home spending time with his baby, Ohanian has been vocal about why both men and women should share equal responsibility for parenting.
Besides, if you’d happen to follow him on Instagram you’d know he is one of those annoying parents who can’t stop gushing over his kid. We cannot blame him; who wouldn’t want to eat those cute cheeks?
Our desi dads are not far behind; B-town celebrity dads are also crushing it at fatherhood. It does help create a sort of a humbling effect as we see them deal with diapers, temper tantrums, and demands, all that while playing a doting dad.
The one thing better than shirtless SRK, is with shirt on SRK gushing over his children. Father to Aryan, Suhana and little AbRam, Khan spends time with the gang bonding over family dinners, vacations and IPL matches. Hands-down one of the most protective dads in tinsel town (we’re hinting at the Wankhade stadium incident involving daughter, Suhana), this celebrity dad surely knows how to moisten our tear ducts by posting one cute picture after the other on Instagram. Consider this proof that SRK knows the way to our heart:
The loving husband that is Akshay Kumar, he is also a doting father as Instagram proves. As one of the most celebrated actors and father of two kids, Aarav and Nitara, he’s always got his hands full—but he relishes every daddy moment. From posting goofy pictures of his beard being shaved off by daughter to captioning pictures with stylish son as “everyday is father’s day,” Kumar most certainly is daddy goals. That’s not all, Kumar also encourages his young ones to take fitness seriously and doesn’t shy away from sharing their achievements with his followers.
When he’s not at the gym giving us fitness goals or smashing it at the Box Office, you can find Shahid Kapoor playing daddy cool to Zain and Misha. Social media accounts, which used to be flooded with his own selfies, are now full of aww-worthy posts starring his babies. Well, fatherhood has known to change people (for the best or worst)!
One of the coolest single daddies on the block, Karan Johar has time and again said that he loves being a dad and although “it’s scary and daunting”, fatherhood will always be “an important part” of his life. Though the Kalank director prefers keeping his private life private, he occasionally does treat his followers to some adorable pictures of his little ones, Yash and Roohi. And he doesn’t forget to dress his babies in his splitting image!
You know how some parents can’t stop showing everyone photos and videos of their kids, to the point of becoming annoying? That's dad Mahendra Singh Dhoni!. If you follow Dhoni on Instagram, you’ll come across photo after photo of him with his daughter Ziva. From blow-drying his little one’s hair to crawling by her side, his Instagram is simply proof of what a hands-on parent the cricketer is.
Celebrity couple, Kunal Kemmu and Soha Ali Khan’s respective Instagram feeds are filled with pictures (and hilarious videos) of a normal and happy family. From posting selfies, bike rides to birthdays and shopping trips, Kemmu doesn’t gloss over the difficulties or the joys of being a parent, saying in one Instagram post: “It’s a merry Christmas everyday when you got the best gift in the world look at you with so much love #merrychristmas”
Actor Anil Kapoor’s professional achievements and success are all second to the role of his lifetime: being a father to Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja, Rhea and Harshavardhan Kapoor. Acting and making people’s heads turn are skills that run in this Kapoor khanndaan. With each of his kids having successful careers of their own, it surely has become a game of ‘Keeping up with the Kapoors’. Well, thanks to papa dearest who shares all his proud daddy moments with us!
Whether they're cuddling on the couch or simply off on a long drive, Tusshar Kapoor is unabashed about letting his love for little Laksshya known to the world. Kapoor is Bollywood’s first single dad to adopt via surrogacy. What we love the most about him is that he isn’t afraid to show genuine affection.
It’s clear that the Roadies-fame star is smitten by his daughter as he documents and shares her adventures online. Ranvijay Singha’s one-year-old daughter, Kainaat, has her own Instagram account with a strong following of 124K followers. Irrespective of her own followers, daddy Singha can’t stop showing off his little angel to the world. One of his recent posts on Instagram, captioned “Daughters are a blessing, they are angels and are always going to be their daddy’s little princess. If she wants to sit Dadda will find a way...”
Don’t let his smile, hot physique and dance moves fool you, Hrithik Roshan also doubles-up as one helluva dad! The proud papa of sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan, can often be spotted at award functions and Sports Day cheering on for them. Whether it is his workout sessions or much-needed family vacations, Roshan always keeps his sons close to his heart.
Blessed with two beautiful daughters, Myra and Mahikaa, Arjun Rampal will soon be welcoming baby number 3 with girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades. Clearly not overwhelmed, Rampal is making fatherhood look easy, one Instagram post at a time. From clicking weird pictures to taking his daughters out on dates (isn’t that the cutest?), this dad had to make it on our list considering the amount of cuteness the daughters-father duo exude on social media.
