  • 50 gms Black Raisins
  • 50 gms Pistachios
  • 30 gms Pine Nuts
  • 30 gms Dried Cherries
  • 50 gms Cashew Nuts
  • 50 gms Almonds
  • 50 gms Pecan Nuts
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • ½ tsp Light Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 cups cooked sticky rice. For Garnish Crushed Sugar Candy

    Chop 50 gms black raisins, 50 gma pistachios, 30 gms pine nuts, 30 gms dried cherries, 50 gms cashew nuts, 50 gms almonds, 50 gms pecan nuts and mix them in a bowl.

    In a pan, add 1 tbsp brown sugar, water as required,½ tsp light soy sauce and heat till sugar is melted.

    Remove sauce in a bowl and 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon powder, 2 tbsp honey, 2 cups sticky rice and mix well.

    In a muslin cloth, spread the rice mix and steam it for 15-20 minutes, remove from steamer and refrigerate it for 1 hour.

    For serving, cut chilled yaksik into large square pieces and garnish with crushed sugar candy.
  6. 6

    Yaksik is ready to be served.
