INGREDIENTS

  • 200 gm butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tsp dry ginger powder
  • 5 spice powder (clove, ginger, caraway seeds, nutmeg, cinnamon)
  • 100 gm semolina
  • 1/2 cup refined flour
  • 200 gm dry fruits soaked in rum
  • For icing
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • vanilla essence
  • fondant icing

PREPARATION

    In a bowl, add butter and cream it using a whisk. Add sugar and whisk it again. Add eggs and whisk it nicely.

    Add vanilla essence, dry ginger powder, 5 spiced powder, semolina, refined flour and whisk it again.

    Add fruits soaked in rum and mix it nicely. Add the batter in a greased cake tin and bake it in the oven at 180'C for 25 minutes.

    For the icing, add butter in a bowl. Add powdered sugar and mix it well. Add vanilla essence and mix it.

    Cut the rough edges of the cake. Divide the cake into two and layer with buttercream. Cover the whole cake with fondant icing.

    Decorate the cake with floral decoration and it is ready to serve.
