Make a fig puree by blending the chopped figs in a mixer. In a bowl mix refined flour, baking powder, salt, crushed walnuts, sugar and butter. Make a soft batter. Add eggs and vanilla to the batter and blend well. Add the fig puree to the batter and fold lightly. Grease the moulds with oil or butter and pour the batter in it. Also place some walnuts on it. Place the moulds in a tray with water and bake in a pre heated oven at 180 C for 25 minutes. Garnish with icing sugar.
