INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp split Bengal gram
  • 1 tbsp split black gram
  • 3 tbsp Peanuts
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • 1 slit green chilli
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  • 1 cup vermicelli, Salt to taste
  • 1 cup water, chopped coriander for garnish

HOW TO PREPARE VERMICELLI PORRIDGE

    In a pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, split Bengal gram, split black gram, peanuts and saut� for a couple of minutes.

    Next, add the sliced onions, curry leaves, slit green chilies and asafetida, and saut�.
  3. 3

    Put the vermicelli, salt and mix well.
  4. 4

    Pour the water and let it simmer for a few minutes or till the vermicelli is cooked.
  5. 5

    Serve hot, garnished with coriander.
