INGREDIENTS

  • 2 papad
  • 2 tooth picks
  • Turmeric powder
  • Red chilli powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Garam masala
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 2 Onions for gravy
  • 10-15 Cashew nuts
  • 1/2 tsp Kasturi methi
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seed
  • Ginger a small cube
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • For the Stuffing
  • 1 big onions finely chopped
  • 1 capsicum finely chopped
  • 1 cup grated paneer
  • 1 cup grated paneer
  • Turmeric powder

PREPARATION

    Keep papad in the fridge in a cloth so that it softens and can be rolled.

    Take a wok and 1 teaspoon oil and add cumin seed and let it splutter.
  3. 3

    Add finely chopped onion and saute for a minute.
  4. 4

    Add chopped capsicum and grated paneer.
  5. 5

    Add turmeric powder and saute for 2 mins.

    Add salt and put off the flame and let it cool.
  7. 7

    Take out papad from the fridge and and add the stuffing and roll it.

    Close it with a toothpick so that the stuffing will not come out.

    Deep fry the papad and keep it aside.

    Take another wok and add oil for the gravy accordingly.

    Add chopped onion and saute for 2 mins.

    Add cashew nuts, ginger, garlic, green chillies.

    Saute for a minute and add chopped tomatoes and let it become mushy.

    Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala and saute for a minute.

    Add water and bring it to a boil.

    Once it cools, grind the mixture into a smooth paste and sieve it into the wok.

    Add a spoon of desi homemade ghee and saute again for 2 mins.

    Add kasturi methi and saute.

    Add water as required.

    Add salt as per taste.
