INGREDIENTS

  • For the batter
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp club soda
  • 1 cup water
  • For the vada mixture
  • 2 tsp mustard oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 12 -15 curry leaves
  • 5 - 6 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp chopped green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 cup boiled potatoes
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder

PREPARATION

    For the batter: In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, soda and water.

    Mix well until it forms a batter and keep it aside.

    For the vada mixture: Heat mustard oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, garlic cloves, chopped ginger, chopped green chillies, turmeric powder, boiled potatoes, coriander powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt.

    Mix it well.

    Make small vadas from the mixture. Dip the vadas into the batter and deep fry them until they turn golden brown.

    For the pav: Apply green chutney and tamarind chutney on the pav. Place the fried vadas inside the pav.

    Your vada pav is ready to be served.
