INGREDIENTS

  • 200 gms Baked Puff Pastry
  • 50 gms Walnuts
  • 50 gms Hazelnuts
  • 50 gms Raisins
  • 50 gms Sultanas
  • 500 ml Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ tsp Rose Water
  • 20 gms Phyllo Pastry
  • 1 tsp Butter (Melted)
  • Whipped Cream
  • Chopped Nuts

HOW TO PREPARE UMM ALI

  1. 1

    In a bowl crush baked puff pastry and add chopped walnuts, chopped hazelnuts, raisins and roughly chopped sultanas.

    In a saucepan warm milk with sugar and add rose water.
  3. 3

    Fill ramekin bowl with puff pastry nuts mix and pour hot milk and let the puff pastry soak the milk.
  4. 4

    In a baking tray add phyllo pastry, melted butter on pastry, sugar and bake phyllo pastry at 200 degrees for 3-4 minutes.
  5. 5

    For Serving, Spoon whipped cream on top of Umm Ali, sprinkle sugar and burn sugar with blow torch.
  6. 6

    Add shavings of Phyllo pastry and some nuts.
  7. 7

    Umm ali is ready to be served.
