INGREDIENTS

  • Oil for frying
  • 200 gm chicken, minced
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • 1 green chili
  • 2 tsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin powder, Salt to taste, crushed black pepper
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp oil for moulding
  • 9-10 pita breads
  • 1 tbsp oil for grilling
  • FOR garnish
  • Hummus sauce
  • Parsley leaves
  • red chili powder

HOW TO PREPARE TURKISH KOFTE

    Add minced chicken, egg, and breadcrumbs in a blender and blend them well.
  2. 2

    Add garlic cloves, green chili, chopped parsley, cumin powder, salt, crushed black pepper, and red chilli powder, and blend the mixture again.

    Remove the mixture in a bowl and make it into rectangular shapes for patties.
  4. 4

    Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the patties until golden brown.
  5. 5

    In a grill pan, heat oil and roast the pita breads.
  6. 6

    Arrange the patties on top of pita breads in a serving dish, and garnish with hummus sauce, parsley, and red chilli powder.
