INGREDIENTS

  • For salsa filling
  • 2 green tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp white sesame oil
  • 2 tsp green chillies
  • 2 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • For tostadas
  • 3 to 4 tbsp corn flour
  • 2 to 3 tbsp refined flour
  • 4 tbsp kidney beans boiled
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 tbsp hot oil
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp green chillies
  • 3 tsp white vinegar
  • For garnish
  • coriander sprigs
  • Lettuce leaves
  • red chilli powder
  • cumin powder
  • olive oil
  • salt

PREPARATION

    For the filling use green tomatoes.
  2. 2

    Heat white sesame oil and add chopped green chillies cumin powder and red chilli powder.
  3. 3

    Fry the masalas and add chopped green tomatoes and salt.

    Cook for 5 6 minutes on a high flame and keep stirring till done.

    For tostadas, in a bowl, take corn flour, refined flour and salt and mix well.

    Add water and form a dough.
  7. 7

    Take half the dough, roll it out and cut into small triangular shapes and deep fry in oil.

    Transfer the tostadas to a bowl and add boiled kidney beans, hot oil, cumin powder, red chilli powder, finely chopped green chillies, white vinegar, coriander sprigs and mix well.

    Place the lettuce leaves on a plate and pour the kidney beans mixture on it.

    Top up with tostadas and spread the salsa.

    Garnish with coriander sprigs cumin powder, red chilli powder and olive oil.
