- 2 cup flour, 2 tsp active dry yeast, 2/3 cup of warm water, 1/2 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp sugar, extra virgin olive oil.
- 1 tomato sliced, 1 onion sliced, 2 clove garlic thinly sliced, 2 tsp Italian seasoning, 2 tsp red chili flakes.
- Put the sugar, yeast and 2 tbsp olive oil to the warm water. Stir well and let it sit for 5-7 minutes. Once yeast gets activated, pour the mixture and the salt to the flour. Knead the dough for 10-12 mins. It may stick to your hands first but it'll come to a smooth dough ball after kneading. If it sticks too much you can sprinkle a little flour but not too much. Now, put the dough in a greased bowl. Cover it with a plastic wrap/damp towel and rest for 45-60 mins. Take out the dough, place it in a well-greased baking pan. Spread the dough all across the pan and poke the whole surface of the dough with fingers. Now pour a generous amount of olive oil on the dough. All the holes should be filled with a little oil. Now, put the toppings on the dough evenly. Cover and rest again for another 45mins. Bake the bread for 20-25mins or until golden brown in a 180c preheated oven. Once it's done, take out the bread and drizzle a good amount of olive oil on the bread right away. Feeding oil to hungry bread is really important. Sprinkle chilli flakes and Italian seasoning on top. Your Focaccia is ready to serve now.
