INGREDIENTS

  • FOR Batter
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tap turmeric powder
  • Water
  • FOR Filling
  • Oil
  • 1 carom seeds
  • ¼ cup onion
  • Salt
  • ½ cup mushrooms
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp asafoetida
  • 1 tap turmeric powder
  • ½ cup fenugreek leaves
  • ¼ cup paneer
  • ¼ cup tomatoes
  • FOR Chutney
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 3 to 4 figs
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • Water

HOW TO PREPARE TIL KA HALWA

    To garnish: Heat a pan add sugar and water.
  2. 2

    Boil it on low flame until the sugar gets caramelized.
  3. 3

    For the halwa: Melt ghee in a saucepan.
  4. 4

    Add semolina overnight soaked sesame seeds paste, water and powdered sugar.
  5. 5

    Mix it well.
  6. 6

    For the plating: Place a ring mould on a plate and add the halwa mixture into it.
  7. 7

    Gently remove the ring mould.
  8. 8

    Garnish it with the caramelized syrup, roses and pistachios.
