  • oil for frying
  • 1 cup gram flour batter
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 1 tbsp fennel powder
  • 2 tbsp hot oil
  • oil for frying
  • For garnish
  • chopped pistachios

    In a heated pan add oil, gram flour batter to prepare boondi until it turns dark brown.
  2. 2

    In a saucepan add sugar, water and let it melt to form a thick syrup.
  3. 3

    In a bowl add boondi, gram flour, fennel powder, hot oil and prepare a thick dough.
  4. 4

    Make small balls of the dough and deep fry it in the oil until it turns golden brown.
  5. 5

    Add the fried tikri in sugar syrup and let it cook.
  6. 6

    For plating, add oil in a plate, and place the tikri.
  7. 7

    Garnish it with chopped pistachios and Tikri is ready to serve.
