INGREDIENTS

  • 250 gm banana stem
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • 500 ml of water
  • 4 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 tomato
  • salt as per taste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 200 gm prawns
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

PREPARATION

    Soak the chopped banana stem in buttermilk. In a heated pan, add water, a pinch of salt, banana stems and mix it. Strain it in a bowl.

    In another heated pan, add mustard oil, chopped ginger, green chilli and mix. Add chopped tomato, salt as per taste, turmeric powder, cumin powder. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder and mix it.

    In another heated pan, add mustard oil, prawns, a pinch of salt and fry it. Add the fried prawns in the curry and mix. Add the boiled banana stem, sugar, garam masala and mix.

    Serve the Thor Chingri hot.
