INGREDIENTS

  • FOR marinations
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tsp Dark Soya Sauce
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder
  • ½ tsp Red Chilli Flakes
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder. Hard Tofu
  • 1 cup Orange Juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to test
  • 5 to 6 Lollo Rosso lettuce
  • 2 tsp Black Pepper Corns
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 Dried Chilli
  • 2 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1 tsp All Spice powder.
  • FOR Sauce
  • 2 tsp Sunflower Oil
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 Dried Chilli
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Corns
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Roasted Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt to test
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 tsp Sesame Seeds

HOW TO PREPARE SWEET & SOUR TOFU

    For marination: In a bowl add Balsamic Vinegar, Honey, Dark Soya Sauce, Paprika powder, Red Chilli Flakes, Garlic powder and mix the marination.

    Slice tofu and pour Orange Juice, lemon juice, Salt to test and soak for 2-3 minutes.

    Now put Tofu slices in marination bowl.

    take 2 sheets of aluminium foil.
  5. 5

    Grease aluminium foil with Olive oil.
  6. 6

    Place the marinated Tofu slices on it.
  7. 7

    Arrange Rosso lettuce, Black Pepper Corns, Bay leaves, Dried Chilli, Sesame Seeds, All Spice powder.

    Fold four sides of foil sheet.

    now fold fron centre and make a parcel.

    In a heavy bottom pan, heat sand.

    Place the parcel on it.

    Close the lid.

    Cook for 20-22 minutes on medium flame.

    For Sauce: In a pan heat Sunflower Oil.

    Add Bay leaf, Dried Chilli, Black Pepper Corns, Turmeric powder, Roasted Cumin powder, Garlic powder, lemon juice, Salt to test and mix well.

    Bring it to boil.

    Add Honey, Balsamic Vinegar, Sesame Seeds and Coriander leaves.

    Cook until the sauce thickens.

    Put the sauce on Tofu and Lollo Rosso lettuce, sprinkle Sesame Seeds.

    Add smoky flavour of apple wood with a smoking gun.
