  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 2 tsp coriander seeds
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds
  • roasted
  • 5 soaked Kashmiri red chillies
  • 10 to 15 shallots
  • 3 to 4 tbsp White vinegar
  • 2 to 3 tbsp oil
  • salt to taste
  • 2 pomfrets
  • For Garnish Red chillies slit
  • spring onions
  • lemon sliced
  • shallots
  • black olive

    To a blender add black peppercorns, coriander seeds, ginger garlic paste, roasted cumin seeds, soaked Kashmiri chillies, shallots, white vinegar, salt and make a smooth paste. Slit the pomfret along the side such that there is a pocket to fill the paste. Stuff the prepared paste into the pomfret and apply some of the paste on top as well. In a pan, heat oil and cook both sides of the fish evenly. Garnish the prepared dish with red chillies, spring onion, a few shallots, black olive and sliced lemon.
