INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups refined flour
  • ½ tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 to 3 tbsp chocolate chips
  • 2 to 3 tbsp icing sugar
  • 300 ml condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp malt vinegar
  • 4 to 5 tbsp olive oil
  • salt
  • Mango puree
  • Chocolate chips

HOW TO PREPARE STEAMY DEVIL'S CAKE

    In a bowl add refined flour salt, baking powder, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, icing sugar and malt vinegar (to add sourness).

    Gently mix the ingredients.
  3. 3

    Pour some olive oil, condensed milk and mix well.
  4. 4

    Pour the mixture into 3 small rectangular silicone baking moulds.
  5. 5

    Place these baking moulds in a rice cooker and cook for 18 to 20 minutes.
  6. 6

    Check in between to confirm if the cakes are steaming properly as it depends on the make of the rice cooker that is used.

    Remove the silicone moulds and check the texture of the cakes.
  8. 8

    They should be soft yet firm.
  9. 9

    Place one piece (cut into two) on a rectangular serving plate.
  10. 10

    Garnish with mango puree on the side and some chocolate chips on top.
