INGREDIENTS

  • FOR Steamed Manchurian
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 cabbage
  • 1 tsp garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 cup soaked and minced soya
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ cup rice flour
  • ½ cup corn starch
  • all purpose flour
  • baking powder
  • tsp soy sauce
  • 1 cup broken rice
  • soaked
  • FOR Manchurian sauce
  • 2 spring onion greens
  • 1 onion
  • cup coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • water as required
  • ½ cup corn starch mixed with water
  • FOR Garnish
  • Red chilli chopped
  • cucumber grated

HOW TO PREPARE STEAMED MANCHURIAN

    For the Manchurian balls mix finely chopped carrots, cabbages, ginger, garlic, soaked minced soya, salt, red chilli powder, rice flour, all purpose flour, and soy sauce in a bowl.

    Make small balls from the mixture.
  3. 3

    Coat the balls with soaked broken rice.
  4. 4

    Steam the Manchurian balls in a steamer.
  5. 5

    For Manchurian sauce, heat oil in a pan.
  6. 6

    Add chopped ginger onion, soy sauce, sugar, water, corn starch mixed with water, spring onion, and coriander leaves.

    Mix well.
  8. 8

    Let the sauce thicken slightly.
  9. 9

    Serve the steamed balls with Manchurian sauce and grated cucumber.
