INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Onions
  • ½ cup Pomegranate Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 1 tsp Green Chillies
  • 1 tbsp Coriander
  • 2 tbsp Poppy Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 tbsp Dried Yeast
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • 500 gms Whole Wheat Flour
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • Water

HOW TO PREPARE SIDDU

  1. 1

    In a mixer add chopped onions, soaked pomegranate seeds, ginger, green chillies, coriander, poppy seeds, water and blend it into a coarse paste.

    in a bowl take dry yeast, add sugar, water and mix well, keep aside for 6 to 7 minutes.
  3. 3

    in a bowl take wheat flour, make a well in centre and add yeast, ghee salt, water and knead into a soft dough.
  4. 4

    with help of fingers flatten small piece of dough and fill the mixture in the centre.
  5. 5

    close the dough and make siddu shaped into small buns.
  6. 6

    leave them aside for 15 minutes to rest.
  7. 7

    brush ghee on siddu and place them in the hot steamer.
  8. 8

    steam till it becomes fluff.
  9. 9

    serve hot siddu with ghee.
