INGREDIENTS

  • For the dumpling dough:
  • 1 cup wheat starch
  • 1/3 cup potato starch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • For the prawn filling:
  • 200 gms Prawns
  • 1 tsp cooking wine
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp chives chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • For the vegetable filling:
  • 1 cup finely chopped vegetables (cabbage, carrot & capsicu3-4 cloves of garlic grated
  • 1/2 an inch ginger grated
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

PREPARATION

    Making the dumpling dough:.

    - Mix all the dough ingredients together with boiling water little by little till it forms a firm dough.
  3. 3

    - Rest for 5 mins, then add 1 tbsp vegetable oil and kneed to make the dough soft.

    - Divide the dough into 24 equal parts.
  5. 5

    Making the prawn filling:.
  6. 6

    - Chop the prawns finely. Mix all the other ingredients together with the prawns.

    - Keep it in the fridge to chill for 15 minutes.

    Making the vegetable filling:.
  9. 9

    - In a pan with a little oil, add ginger, garlic and green chillies. Sauté.

    - Add all the other remaining ingredients one by one and mix well.

    Flatten the dough, keep a suitable amount of filling inside and close. Steam for 8-10 minutes.
