INGREDIENTS

  • 20 shrimps
  • For Marinade :2 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • For Vadas :1 cup rice flour
  • oil for frying
  • Boiled water mixed with saltas required
  • For Sauce :1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp chopped onions
  • 1 tsp Green chilli paste
  • 2 tbsp goda masala
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp oil
  • water as required
  • For Garnish: Tomato wedge
  • Lemon wedge

HOW TO PREPARE SHRIMP STUFFED RICE VADA

    Place the shrimps in a bowl and marinate with lemon juice and salt.

    In a pan of boiling water, add salt and rice flour.
  3. 3

    Put in a bowl and mix to prepare a dough.
  4. 4

    Make small roundels of the dough and flatten to stuff with the marinated shrimps.
  5. 5

    Seal well to make the vadas.
  6. 6

    Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the vadas.
  7. 7

    Set aside on a tissue paper.
  8. 8

    For the sauce, heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger, chopped onions, green chilli paste, goda masala, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.

    Fry the spices well and then add the coconut milk.

    Add salt, lemon juice, chopped coriander and water.
  11. 11

    Serve the sauce in a bowl with the vadas.
  12. 12

    Garnish with a wedge of tomato and lemon.
