  • FOR The Shir Berenj
  • 1 lt milk
  • 1 cup rice soaked and coarsely ground
  • 20 gm condensed milk solids
  • 100 gm sugar
  • ½ cup fresh cream
  • 1 cup cashew nut paste
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp kewra water
  • FOR Garnish
  • Mixed chopped nuts
  • rose petals

    Heat milk in a pan.
  2. 2

    Add soaked ground rice and stir continuously to avoid any lumps.
  3. 3

    When the rice milk mixture thickens, add sugar and mashed condensed milk solids.
  4. 4

    Stir again.
  5. 5

    In a bowl, mix some fresh cream, cashew nut paste, cardamom powder, and kewra water.

    Add this mixture to the rice milk blend in the pan.
  7. 7

    Cook till the mixture thickens.
  8. 8

    Transfer shir berenj to a serving bowl.
  9. 9

    Garnish with chopped mixed nuts and rose petals.
