  • For sheer chai
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tsp sheer chai leaves
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 3 to 4 almonds
  • ½ tsp green cardamom
  • 1 cup milk
  • salt
  • 1 tbsp malai
  • green cardamom
  • powder
  • crushed almonds as needed
  • For chochwor
  • 300 gm whole wheat flour
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • salt
  • 2 tbsp milk powder
  • white sesame

    In water, add Sheer Chai leaves and baking soda. Add water, boil till tea concentrates to red colour.

    Add water and boil for 3 minutes. Add crushed almonds, green cardamom powder and boil.

    Add milk, salt and bring tea to boil.
  4. 4

    Garnish with malai, green cardamom powder almonds.

    For Chochwor: Mix wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, milk powder, salt and make a soft dough using water.

    Divide dough equally and shape it like a cookie. Press in the centre to create an indent. Mix milk powder, milk and apply on the dough bolls.

    Sprinkle white sesame seeds on each dough balls.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for 12 minutes.

    Serve Sheer Chai with Chochwor.
