INGREDIENTS

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 3 tbsp Butter, melted
  • 1 bowl whole wheat powder
  • 2 tbsp Milk powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup black and white sesame seeds, Salt to taste, Water as required, Oil for frying

HOW TO PREPARE SESAME CAKES

    Whisk an egg with powdered sugar, melted butter and water in a bowl.
  2. 2

    In another bowl, add whole wheat powder, milk powder, baking powder, baking soda, a pinch of salt.
  3. 3

    Mix well.
  4. 4

    Pour the egg-butter-sugar mix in this mixture.
  5. 5

    Knead to make a soft dough.
  6. 6

    If required, add some more water.
  7. 7

    Rest the dough for 20 minutes.
  8. 8

    Make small balls from the dough.
  9. 9

    Make cross cuts using a knife on top of the balls.
  10. 10

    Dip the balls in water and roll over the black and white sesame seeds.
  11. 11

    Heat oil in a pan.
  12. 12

    Deep fry the cakes on a medium flame.
  13. 13

    Serve.
