INGREDIENTS

  • 3 sliced onions
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 green cardamom
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • few curry leaves
  • pinch of turmeric
  • pinch of red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp tamarind paste
  • salt to taste

PREPARATION

    Dry roast the onion for 2 minutes. Add sugar and fry until golden brown.

    Add black pepper, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon stick and few curry leaves. Saute the mixture for a minute.

    Add pinch of turmeric, red chilli powder, tamarind paste, salt and mix well.

    Seeni Sambol chutney is ready to eat with dosa.
