INGREDIENTS

  • 300 gm red & green grapes
  • 300 gm mango
  • 400 gm pineapple
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 3 - 4 dried byadagi chillies
  • 1/4 cup jaggery powder
  • 1/4 cup tamarind paste
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 8 - 10 curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida

PREPARATION

    Chop the red and green grapes, mango, pineapple and transfer to a bowl.

    Grind the grated coconut, byadagi chillies, jaggery powder, tamarind paste, mustard seeds, salt into a fine paste.

    Spread the paste over the fruits and mix well.
  4. 4

    Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida. Pour the tempering over the fruits and mix well.

    Set the mixture aside for 60 - 90 minutes. Sasam is ready to serve.
