Sabudana Laddu

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup sago
  • ½ cup Desiccated coconut
  • 1½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup water, Oil as required
  • FOR garnish
  • rose petals
  • 9-10 cashewnuts

HOW TO PREPARE SABUDANA LADDU

  1. 1

    Roast sago in a pan.
  2. 2

    Roast cashew in another pan.
  3. 3

    Caramelize desiccated coconut with one and a half cup sugar and a few drops of water in a separate pan.
  4. 4

    Heat until brown.
  5. 5

    Add roasted sago and coconut mixture to a bowl.
  6. 6

    Grind the mixture.
  7. 7

    In a separate pan, melt 1 cup sugar in water to make a thick syrup.
  8. 8

    Shift the grounded mixture to a bowl and add melted sugar.
  9. 9

    Mix well to make a dough.
  10. 10

    Apply a few drops of oil to your palm and prepare ladoos from the dough.
  11. 11

    Serve on rose petals with roughly chopped cashew nuts.
