INGREDIENTS

  • 2-3 tsp desi ghee
  • 1 cinnamon
  • 5 black cardamoms
  • 1 mace
  • 8-9 cloves
  • 5-6 green cardamoms
  • 4 bay leaves, Salt to taste
  • 2 cups basmati rice, soaked, Oil for frying
  • 6-7 raw bananas, boiled
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Carom seeds
  • 1-2 coriander leaves
  • 10 dried chillies
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp fresh coconut, grated
  • 2-3 tbsp hung curd
  • 1-2 tomatoes
  • 2-3 tsp rose water
  • 2-3 tsp kewda water
  • 1-2 tsp kesar milk

HOW TO PREPARE RAW BANANA DUM BIRYANI

    In a pan, add water, desi ghee, cinnamon, black cardamom, mace, clove, green cardamom, bay leaf, salt, and rice.

    Mix them all and cook well.

    In another pan, add oil for heating.
  4. 4

    When the oil is hot, add banana peel and deep-fry it.
  5. 5

    Heat oil in a big pot, add cumin seeds, carom seeds, green coriander, dry red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coconut, curd, fried banana peel, chopped banana, salt, tomatoes, and cooked rice.

    Mix well.

    Once it is cooked well, add kesar milk, saffron soy milk, kewra water, rose water, and desi ghee.

    Seal the lid with dough.
  9. 9

    Place in an oven for 20 min at 180 C.
  10. 10

    Serve hot.
