Rajma Cutlet Sandwiches
Bored of the regular Rajma recipe? Chef Ranveer Brar serves rajma in the form of a healthy sandwich. It's yummy! Cut into cubes and serve them as a healthy vegetarian appetizer at parties, or pack them in your child's lunchbox. Either way, watch them disappear!

  • 4 slices brown bread
  • Butter
  • 1 tsp butter
  • For Rajma Mixture :2 tsp oil
  • ½ tsp butter
  • ½ tsp black cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp chopped ginger
  • 2 tbsp chopped onions
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 cup kidney beans boiled
  • water
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • For Serving :1 chopped cucumber
  • 1 tbsp Yogurt
  • salt
  • For Garnish: 1tsp red chilli powder

    Heat oil and butter in a pan.

    Add black cumin seeds chopped ginger and onions, salt, garam masala powder, and red chilli powder.

    Add boiled kidney beans to the masala.
  4. 4

    Add water and mix well.
  5. 5

    Cover the pan with the lid and cook for some time.
  6. 6

    Mash the mixture well.
  7. 7

    Add chopped coriander and some more water.
  8. 8

    Cook again for 2 min.
  9. 9

    Transfer the mixture to a plate and refrigerate to cool.

    To make the sandwich, apply butter on one side of the brown bread slice.

    On another slice place the kidney beans mixture.

    Cover it with the buttery slice.

    Similarly make one more sandwich.

    Heat butter in a grill pan.
  15. 15

    Grill sandwiches on both sides.

    After grilling, diagonally halve the sandwiches and arrange them in the serving plate.

    Chop a cucumber and transfer to a bowl.

    Mix with yogurt and salt.

    Serve sandwiches with cucumber salad.
