INGREDIENTS

  • For the pakoda
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 2 tsp coriander leaves
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp chopped green chilli
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • oil
  • For the kadhi mixture
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tsp gram flour
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • salt
  • water
  • For the kadhi preparation
  • 2 tsp ghee
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 3-4 cloves
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 inch chopped ginger
  • 1/4 inch fenugreek seeds
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • 6-8 curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

PREPARATION

    For the Pakoda: In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, chopped cilantro, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, chopped green chillies, baking soda, salt and water. Mix them well.

    Make small balls from the mixture and deep-fry them into the hot oil.

    Fry the pakodas until they turn golden brown.
  4. 4

    For the Kadhi mix: In a mixing bowl, add yogurt, gram flour, turmeric powder, salt and water. Mix them well.

    For Kadhi: Heat ghee in a deep cooking pot.

    Add cinnamon stick, cloves, fennel seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, chopped ginger, fenugreek seeds, dry red chillies, curry leaves and red chili powder, Saute them well.

    Add the Kadhi mixture into it.

    Simmer it for 8-10 minutes.
  9. 9

    Add the fried pakodas into the Kadhi.
