  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp carom seeds
  • salt to taste
  • ¼ cup clarified butter
  • water as required
  • 4-5 tbsp clarified butter
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tbsp coriander
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 onions
  • ½ tsp asafoetida
  • 1 tsp dry mango powder
  • 3-4 tbsp clarified butter
  • ½ cup bengal gram besan
  • ½ cup green gram besan
  • 2 tsp red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • ½ potato grated
  • oil as required
  • green chutney
  • sweet chutney

    To make onion kachori, make dough by adding white flour, celery, salt, desi ghee and water.

    Knead the dough, cover it and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  3. 3

    To make kachori’s filling, in a pan, add desi ghee, fennel, coriander, ginger garlic paste, onion and asafoetida and then add mango powder in it and mix together.

    Add desi ghee, gram flour, split green gram (moong dal) to the second pan and roast it.

    Now add and roast fried gram flour, red chili powder, salt and grated potato with the onions.

    Now make small cutlets/balls out of the dough, then add the filling inside it and fry it.

    Kachori is ready; serve it with green chutney and sweet chutney.
