Puneri Misal Tacos
Sample these Mexican tacos with a desi twist! The tacos have been stuffed with mustard seeds, curry leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, green chillies and sour cream!

  • Drizzle of Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 8 to 10 Curry Leaves
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Onion
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Tomato
  • 1 cup Sprouts
  • 1 cup Soaked Flattened Rice
  • 1 cup Chopped Boiled potatoes
  • Sprinkle of Salt
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Green Chilies
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Jalapenos
  • Sprinkle of Green Coriander
  • Drizzle of Oil
  • 1 cup Chopped Onion
  • 1 cup Fresh Cream
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • Sprinkle of Salt
  • ½ cup Dry Grated Coconut
  • 1 cup Chopped Tomato
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Paste
  • 2 tbsp Goda Masala
  • Water as Required
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 6 to 8 Curry Leaves
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • Garnish with Jalapenos
  • Grated Cheese
  • Farsan and Coriander Leaves

    In a pan or kadhai heat oil and add mustard seeds wait till they crackle, next add curry leaves fry for a bit and add onion and chopped tomatoes stir in the chilli powder and turmeric, next add sprouts, soaked flattened rice, boiled and chopped potatoes, salt, lemon juice, green chilli, chopped jalapenos and chopped coriander.

    Mix it well.

    In another pan heat olive oil, fry curry leaves, chopped onion, add tomatoes, Kashmiri red chilli paste fry well, next add the grated coconut and gouda masala, water, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and lemon juice, cook till the oil leaves.

    To make sour cream: use a hand blender and beat fresh cream till soft peaks form ,add salt and lime juice and just mix and don’t beat further keep it chilled.

    Fill the potato mixture in taco shells, goda masala mixture, jalapenos slices, grated cheese, farsaan and sour cream.

    Garnish it with coriander leaves.

    Puneri missal tacos are ready to serve.
