Poha-crusted Sweet Potato

  • FOR the dough
  • 2sweet potatoesboiled
  • 1 tsp ginger chopped
  • 1 tbsp onionsfinely chopped
  • 1 tbsp mint leaves chopped
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp green chillies chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • Refined flour battermixed with water and flour
  • ½ cup flattened rice (poha)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • FOR garnish
  • Sweet potato chips
  • coriander leaves

    Take boiled sweet potatoes in a bowl and mash them well.

    Add chopped ginger, finely chopped onions, chopped mint leaves, salt and red chilli powder.

    Mix them well.

    Add chopped green chillies and cumin powder.
  5. 5

    Mix and prepare small tikkis.
  6. 6

    Coat the tikkis with the flour batter and again with flattened rice (poha).
  7. 7

    Heat oil in a frying pan and shallow-fry the tikkis on both sides.
  8. 8

    Arrange the tikkis in a plate and garnish with sweet potato chips and coriander leaves.
