  • 2 cups refined flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar powdered
  • 1 tbsp sugar granulated
  • salt
  • ½ tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tbsp baking soda
  • ½ tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 - 4 tbsp beetroot juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp white vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 300 ml condensed milk
  • 1½ cup light whipped cream
  • 1 cup grated and roasted coconut
  • For Garnish
  • cake crumbs
  • cocoa powder
  • vanilla syrup
  • icing sugar

    Mix refined flour, powdered sugar, granulated sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, beetroot juice, olive oil, white vinegar, water, butter and condensed milk in a bowl to form a batter.

    Pour the batter into the mould and bake the cake in a water bath for 20 - 25 minutes. Demould the cake and place it on a cake stand. Trim the top and slit the cake horizontally into three layers.

    Apply whipped cream in between the layers and also coat the cake with it. Coat the cake with roasted coconut flakes. Garnish the cake with grated coconut, cake crumbs, cocoa powder, vanilla syrup and icing sugar.
