  • 2 cups refined flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar powdered
  • 1 tbsp sugar granulated
  • salt
  • ½ tbsp baking powder
  • tbsp baking soda
  • ½ tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 to 4 tbsp Beetroot juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp White vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tbsp butter (room temperature)
  • 300 ml condensed milk
  • 1½ cups Light whipped cream
  • 1 cup Coconut roasted and grated
  • Coconut roasted and grated
  • Cake crumbs
  • cocoa powder
  • Vanilla syrup
  • Icing sugar

    In a bowl prepare batter by mixing refined flour, powdered sugar, granulated sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, beetroot juice, olive oil, white vinegar, water, butter and condensed milk.

    Pour the batter into the mould and place the mould in a pre heated oven with some water in it.

    Put a lid on it.

    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

    Remove the cake from the mould and place it on the cake stand.

    Trim the top and slit the cake horizontally into three layers.

    Apply whipped cream in between the layers and also coat the cake with it.

    Coat the cake with some roasted grated coconut to lend it colour.
  9. 9

    Serve the cake with grated coconut, cake crumbs, cocoa powder, vanilla syrup and icing sugar for garnish.
