Persian Style Pilaf

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 4 apricots
  • dried
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • 8 to 10 Almonds
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • olive oil
  • Rice
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper powder to taste
  • water
  • For Garnish Coriander sprig
  • For Serving Gosht boti kebabs

HOW TO PREPARE PERSIAN STYLE PILAF

  1. 1

    Soak the dry apricots raisins, and almonds in water, so that they are puffed up.
  2. 2

    Chop the soaked dry fruits into small pieces.
  3. 3

    Boil water in a pan and add rice.
  4. 4

    Sieve the boiled rice.
  5. 5

    Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the chopped onion and diced green bell pepper.
  6. 6

    Season with turmeric salt, and black pepper powder.
  7. 7

    Cook on a low flame for 4 to 5 min.
  8. 8

    Add boiled rice and chopped dry fruits.
  9. 9

    Cover the lid and simmer for a couple of minutes.
  10. 10

    Serve hot in a plate with gosht boti kebabs by garnishing pilaf with a coriander sprig.
