  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 cup green moong, soaked
  • 1 1/2 tsp onions
  • 1 tsp green chillies
  • 2 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds, Salt, water

    Grind soaked rice, soaked green moong, chopped onions, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger juliennes, salt, cumin seeds and water in a mixer grinder.

    Blend it to a thick paste.

    Transfer it into a bowl and allow it to rest for 15 minutes.
  4. 4

    Then, add water into the batter and pour a ladleful of batter onto a pan to make Persattu.

    Add oil on the Perasattu and roll it.
  6. 6

    Remove the Perasattu onto a plate.
  7. 7

    Serve the Perasattu with muskmelon wedge, lemon wedge and coconut chutney.

    Garnish it with coriander sprig and sprinkle red chilli powder.
