Samosa and kachori are favourite Indian snacks which can be eaten at any time of the day. Chef Pallavi presents a recipe for Peas Kachori, a deep-fried food snack filled with green peas. This kachori filled with mildly spiced green peas is flaky, crispy and amazingly savoury.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 1/4 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp chopped green chillies
  • 1 tsp asafoetida
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 bowl green peas
  • garam masala
  • 1 cup maida
  • oil for frying
  • curd for garnish

HOW TO PREPARE PEAS KACHORI

    In a heated pan, add oil, cumin seeds, grated ginger, asafoetida, turmeric powder. Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, chopped onion, salt as per taste and saute.

    Add green peas, garam masala and mix it. Mash the green peas and let it cool down.
  3. 3

    In a bowl, add maida, oil, salt as per taste, mix it and prepare a dough. Roll out the dough into small poori. Stuff the poori with the peas filling and seal it and roll it again.

    Heat the oil in a pan. Deep fry the kachori in the oil until it turns golden brown.
  5. 5

    Garnish with curd, imli paste, sev, pomegranate seeds, chopped tomatoes, chaat masala powder and serve.
