  • FOR Pasteis Dough
  • 1 cup Refined Flour
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Vodka
  • 2 tsp Vinegar
  • FOR Mixture
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 stalk Spring Onion
  • 1 tbsp Palm Oil
  • 200 gm Cottage cheese
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tbsp Cream Cheese

    For Pasteis Dough ,Mix flour, butter, vodka, vinegar, water and make a dough.

    For Garlic Salt ,Pound the whole garlic pod and put it in a jar along with salt.
  3. 3

    Keep it in sun for a week and later preserve in refrigerator.
  4. 4

    For Filling ,Heat oil in a pan, add finely chopped onions, sauté.
  5. 5

    Add paneer in the pan and roast till done.
  6. 6

    Add tomato paste, oregano, chilli powder, garlic salt, chopped spring onions, cream cheese and sauté.

    For Pasteis ,Divide the dough into small balls.
  8. 8

    Roll out dough thinly on a floured surface.
  9. 9

    Place the paneer mix vertically in the centre, fold the sheet from one edge to another covering the paneer mix, stick the sheet using water on all three sides, giving shape of a long pocket.

    Cut the rest of the dough from edges to maintain width of 2 inches and length of approx.

    Flute the edges of Pasties using fork from all three sides.

    Heat oil and fry pasties.

    Serve Pasties with roasted tomato and red pepper salsa and garnish with micro greens, tomato wafers and malagueta chilli powder.
